Privacy Policy

Daily Darshan Reminder is built to be private. Your reminders, settings, and streak stay on your own device, and the extension never reads the pages you browse. This policy explains exactly what that means.
What we store, and where
Everything you set up in the extension is saved locally on your device using Chrome's
storage API. That includes:
- your reminder schedules (type, label, time, and days);
- your settings and preferences (sounds, new tab options, theme);
- your private devotion streak and check-in dates;
- any intention text you choose to write;
- and, if you unlock Vrindavan Pro, your license key and its activation ID.
This information lives on your computer. We do not have a server that receives it, and it is not sent to us or to anyone else.
What we do not do
- We do not track you. There are no analytics, no telemetry, and no advertising.
- We do not require an account, an email address, or a sign-up.
- We do not read, collect, or transmit the content of the websites you visit. The extension has no access to your browsing history or page content.
- We do not sell or share your data, because we never collect it in the first place.
Daily verses and festivals
The Bhagavad Gita verses, reminder messages, and festival dates are bundled inside the extension itself. Showing them to you does not involve any network request.
Unlocking Vrindavan Pro
Vrindavan Pro is an optional one-time unlock handled by our payments provider, Dodo Payments. Payment happens entirely on Dodo's own secure checkout page. We never see or store your card details.
After purchase you receive a license key. When you paste that key into the extension to
activate or to periodically re-check it, the extension makes a request to Dodo's license
service (live.dodopayments.com) containing only your license key and its
activation ID, so Dodo can confirm the key is valid. This is the only time the extension
contacts the network. No other data is included, and the check is handled in a way that
keeps your access working even if you are offline.
Dodo Payments processes this information as an independent provider under its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Because your data stays on your device, you are always in control of it. You can edit or
delete any reminder or setting at any time, deactivate your Pro license from within the
extension, and remove all stored data by uninstalling the extension from
chrome://extensions. Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the
GDPR (EU/UK) and the CCPA (California) give you rights over your personal data; since we
do not collect or hold your data on any server, there is nothing on our side to access,
correct, or erase.
Children
Daily Darshan Reminder is a general-audience devotional tool and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and post the new version here.
